Jenna Kawola is a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist providing therapy services for children at Freedom First Psychological Services.
Jenna has experience working with children and families in a variety of at-home and outpatient settings. Jenna has worked with clients with a wide range of presenting problems, including depression, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, autism, family dynamic issues, TBI, dementia, substance use, and other social/emotional or behavioral issues.
Jenna completed her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts with a minor in Psychology at Alfred University in 2016, before earning her Master’s in Creative Arts Therapy from Nazareth College in 2018.
Jenna applies a person-centered lens to her work and is well-versed in multiple evidence-based treatment approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Gestalt, play therapy, and mindfulness-based practices. Art therapy techniques can be integrated into each of these approaches and help to enhance self expression, communication, and reflection. Jenna plans and delivers services to best suit each individual client’s needs from a holistic perspective.
