Lisa Ash, LCSW
Lisa Ash is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing therapy services for children, adolescents and adults at Freedom First Psychological Services.

Lisa has experience working with a diverse population to support a variety of social-emotional challenges and diagnoses, as well as providing support to those in a transitional chapter of life. Lisa is dedicated to helping those who suffer from depression, anxiety, trauma and adjustment disorders due to challenging life events and circumstances.
Lisa completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science at Mercy College and her Master in Social Work at Adelphi University. She has completed her certification as a Child and Adolescent Trauma Professional and as a Restorative Justice Consultant. Lisa has spent several years working as a School Social Worker supporting special education students across the K-12 continuum.
Lisa practices with an eclectic approach incorporating humor and authenticity. She is a strong believer in meeting the client where they are and not forcing the therapeutic process. Lisa excels at forming a trusting relationship with her clients and works collaboratively with them to achieve their goals. With training in cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, and assessing/managing suicidal risk, she utilizes a person-centered approach that highlights the strengths an individual already possesses before beginning their journey in therapy.
